Talya DiGirolamo

Since 2001, Talya (Trudell) DiGirolamo has been providing students with a solid foundation in softball knowledge. She has taught individual pitching and hitting lessons and coached teams at various levels, from recreation to college. She has a broad understanding of the sport, from the fine details of mechanics to the ability to translate that work into successful performances on the field. Her positive teaching methods have helped launch students into the successful future they have always dreamed of. Coach Talya travels to various locations within the metro-Atlanta region and Buford to provide lessons.

College Successes

Talya received a full 5-year scholarship to play for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). While at UTC, she earned Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year (1999) and First-Team All-Conference (2001). She had an ERA of .94 her senior year and a career ERA of 1.45.

I am blessed that I got to take pitching lessons with Talya. After a successful college career at the University of Kentucky, I am currently pitching in the NPF for the USSSA Pride and I know Talya was a huge part of my success. She has always been professional, prompt and attentive during my instruction time. She is a great pitching instructor and I am forever grateful to have worked with her.

Great news for young players in Atlanta. Lydia who is a senior pitcher at East Carolina University, to this day falls back on the lessons taught to her by Talya DiGirolamo.

It's easy to say that Coach T was one of the best coaches that I have had over my many years of softball. Her love of the game shines when she coaches. She inspires athletes to improve their game in many aspects. As a pitcher, she changed my game by enhancing many of my pitches. She was able to quickly recognize where I needed improvements and helped me make the adjustments every way possible. I would highly recommend Coach T for anyone needed help in any part of the game.

Having moved from the softball mecca of Southern California, Talya DiGirolamo, was the only instructor we could find to continue our daughters pitching growth without trying to change her whole foundation of pitching. Talya had some of the best training and she passes on her knowledge, techniques, and passion to the girls. We drove an hour one way, just to make sure we had the best! Thanks Talya!!

I was a member of the Agnes Scott College (ASC) Softball team from 2006-2010. Coach T came on as an assistant coach my senior year. I did not really have a softball background, I was just a curious student at a D3 school with athletic ability that showed up to a try out. I can honestly say that in the one year that I was able to work with Coach T, she brought a professionalism and softball knowledge to the program that was greatly needed. Later, when she was named head coach and the team started winning, I was not surprised. She turned a softball program that was accustomed to losing into conference champions. ASC's success during her tenure is a true testament to her ability to coach all levels. She is quickly able to assess a player's skill set and tailor a training program according to a person's ability. In addition to her coaching acumen, she is a generally pleasant person to be around. I would highly recommend her for your softball needs.
